Junkers Pack Set Up

So the 5 Junker civilians have been sent to the casters.
As with all the others they will be in packs of 10.

So the 5 Junker civilians have been sent to the casters.
As with all the others they will be in packs of 10.

However, what to put in a pack of 10?
I am thinking:

1 x Mechanic
2 x Females
3 x Smock
2 x Scavenger
2 x Farmer

What do you all think?

New for 2013

Things for the new year.

Here are some things I have been working on and not had the time/funds to get released as yet.
As such they will be on the top of my list for 2013.
So, in no particular order...

Junker Civilians, WIPs here:

.

There will be a 5th Junker civilian, but she is still being sculpted, so no image yet.

I have just been sent an image of the final Junker civilian:

.
OKI Wind Turbine, 3D render here:

This is a beast of a piece, you can see its size from this printed master:

Pathfinder Warrior, 3D WIP render here:

.
.
The final version may have a small turret mounted light cannon.

OKI Landing Pads, available as pieces:

A semi-circle section, a straight section, a ramp that fits the straight section and a ramp that fits the semi-circle section.
This will allow you to make a variety of shapes!

RDF Barracks, rough WIP here:

..
.
As you can see the ever resourceful RDF have adapted the OKI walls and made themselves a super duper barracks.

Junker walls, Junker Soldiers and some other little bits that as of yet are still just in my head!

I have a plan.

Well the Junkers buildings have been available for a few days and are selling well.
I was debating what to do next (not including things already in the pipeline) and then it hit me..

First I did some OKI MHUs, then OKI walls.
We also had civilians to go with them.

Now I have done Junker shacks and have civilians being done to go with them.
What I need are Junker walls!

Then the idea hit me...
I will mirror the 2 ranges so that we will have:

OKI walls
OKI dwellings
Civilians

Junker walls
Junker dwellings
Junker civilians

So next up will be the Junker walls.
Then some bad guys to annoy the OKI civilians and keep the RDF busy.
I have a plan....!

RDF are here, I repeat the RDF are here!!!

Yes after much waiting they are here in my hands!

We have the Grunts pack which contains troopers in walking and firing poses and a female trooper.
Ideal for bolstering the rank and file numbers.

We also have the Specialist pack which contains a minigun trooper, trooper with flame thrower and a tech trooper.

The tech trooper holds a datapad and is kneeling next to an armoured tech-box.
The box can be used for a variety of things depending on what you need for your games.
It could be a medi-kit, a bomb kit or a box for transporting a small remote controlled drone for example.
Mine is painted as super duper scanner battlefield intel uplink box of +100 with a pretty blue screen with text on it.

Once again many thanks very much to those that have supported my venture in 6mm sci-fi, it is appreciated.

Don't delay, buy today!

Project Junkers - Part Two

I have some images of some of the actual Junkers themselves here for your viewing pleasure:

A Junker farmer tending to his meagre crops and a Junker scavenger with a bio-mask and i-device:

A Junker in a rain coat as he walks around looking for stuff to eat/scavenge/sell and a mechanic with a prothestic leg:

The idea is to make the Junkers the 'rejects' of other societies and to have a visible mix of cultures and creeds in the Junker community.

The third mega-building is almost ready to go under the mould and I am working on the fourth medium sized Junker shanty...

Stand by for Junker Goodness.

Project Junkers - Part One

I have finally started on my new idea for products to fit into my FUBAR games on the colony world of Kometenmelodie.
The basic idea are The Junkers

These are colonists that after starting a new life have lost faith in why they started anew.
They started a new world to get away from the craphole called earth as they dislike the way it is run, they dislike the harsh laws and the huge taxes.
They started a new world and loved it, but then as the colony developed the need for laws and structure became clear, some folk started to take a dislike to it becoming yet another version of earth.

Then as local law enforcers got hired and laws enforced, local taxes collected to pay for the community at large these people got angry/bored/sad and hated that they had become what they tried to get away from.
Seeing that their brave new world was just a baby earth they left the populated areas and became like hermits.
Living on the fringes, hunting and scavenging to survive.
Soon other like-minded souls joined them and the Junker community evolved.

It is very much post-apoc/mad max style stuff.
People that live rough and for whom each day is a fight.
Dwellings made out of scrap and junk that they stole and scavenged from the regular townships.

Story-wise, the Junkers are never missed so make a good source of test subjects for various corporations on Kometenmelodie..

I plan so far to make a pack of Junker figures, all a bit ragged and rough looking.
And a collection of junker dwellings (shanties).

Here is the first tow Junker Shacks, freshly painted and here to give you an idea what the rest will look like.
As you can see the shacks have been built by the Junkers from what is essentually waste, rubbish, or otherwise known as junk.

Small Normal Dwelling

Medium Sized Dwelling or maybe a Farm, or a Workshop, or a....

I am working on the third building now which is bigger, bigger than I planned, it kind of mutated and just kept growing as I made it.

Website Down

At some point very early this morning the server which hosts my site broke.
All the data from that server is being migrated to another server, with a bit of luck this will mean my site is up and running tonight, though it could be tomorrow.

Really very sorry about this.

Michael.

RDF Update

Right then.
As you may know there has been a delay on the new RDF.

This is due to the Female Trooper.
A few master moulds have been done of her, the first one had problems with the arm not casting and the gun being possibly too thin.
The last master sorted the arm issue but the casters are convinced that if the production mould was made the gun would end up being so thin it may simply not be cast.

So this afternoon I got out the Green Stuff and thickened up the rifle.
Hopefully it is now thick enough to be successfully cast from a production mould.

I will post this Monday and it will be with the casters on Tuesday.
Hopefully they can get the new master and maybe the production mould done quite soon after that.

Sooooo fingers crossed very shortly they will be available...

Painted RDF

I have at last managed to finish painting my 4 squads of RDF troopers, which includes the as yet unreleased packs and the MS1 Pathmaster (Ranger Variant).

Could there be a game soon...?

Pathfinder Ranger

MS1 Pathmaster - Ranger Variant

Charlie Company

Alpha Squad

Bravo Squad

Charlie Squad

Delta Squad

I had some custom decals made for the vehicles and am looking at costs to make them commercially available incase you want to use 'official' decals.

I also added some stowage to the vehicles too, they do not come with any, but I like that worn out, used, lived in campaign look.

OKI wall set

I have been mould making and casting over the weekend and I have finished the first set of walls.

In the set you get:

2 gate sections
4 corner sections
8 wall sections

Each wall and gate section is 50mm long and 22mm tall, the walls are 10mm thick at the base.

This gives you just over 50cm of OKI protection!

I am going to make some more moulds for the walls so I can cast up a few at once and when I have a few sets ready I will get them on the website for you!

Are your employees safe and ok on that remote colony world?
If they have OKI then they are OK!

OKI walls are printed

A while back I posted the images of my OKI Corporation walls, designed to keep their MHUs nice and safe.

http://angelbarracks.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/oki-walls-for-mhus.html

Well today I received the printed models I shall be using to make the moulds from.

I have a sneaking suspicion no-one quite anticipated they would be this bad ass.
I am actually really pleased how thse have turned out and can't wait to get some cast up so I can have some myself..

:D

Here are some shots for your viewing pleasure:

I will be making the moulds over the weekend and should have some ready painted by the middle of next week and have worked out the prices by then.

Oh, and yes, I think they would work well with 15mm figures too!
